Spring = Flirting

Main Entry: 1flirt
intransitive verb
1: to move erratically : flit
2 a: to behave amorously without serious intent b: to show superficial or casual interest or liking (flirted with the idea) ; also : experiment (a novelist flirting with poetry)
3: to come close to reaching or experiencing something —used with (flirting with disaster)(the temperature flirted with 100°)
(Merriam-Webster)

I love spring. Sure there are the usual reasons why; like the dark and dreariness of the winter has finally ended. My nose will not run as soon as I step outdoors like it does when the temperature goes below 60 degrees. I don't have to bundle up and can bring out the flip flops.

On a flip flop side note. I met someone at this time last year who told me that she thought it was inconsiderate of people to wear flip flops to work because all she heard every day was flip, flop, flip, flop. I told her to get over it and get laid. This brings me to the point of above - spring. (Not so much of a digression after all.)

One of the obvious side effects of spring is flirting. With me it's really bad or good, depending on how you look at it. My spirits are up, the flip flops have debuted and the flirting has commenced in full force, really full force.

I have flirted with just about every single woman I have come into contact with in the past few weeks. Whether it's a woman I casually talk to in Central Park, the elevator or even the doctor's office. There have been very few women who have not been targeted.

For most people this is not a problem. For me, it can be a serious problem. Flirting commences in a casual fun manner, then it gets a little more serious and then before I know it I'm in a relationship I do not want or need to be in. Thankfully, they only last about three weeks but are often full of way too much drama especially when it takes a whole week and half to break up with someone. Not because it is difficult for me to tell them it's over but that I have to break up with them a few times before they take the hint.

I have met some pretty hot women lately and I have already flirted with them - a lot. It just happens automatically, but I'm proceeding with caution. Thankfully that friend with benefits is close by.

New Post

I'm keeping it simple. This post is more about making sure I have something posted for the new month. That's not bad is it?

I was looking at the site today and realized I need to update a lot of things on it. like the current book I'm reading. I finished Girls Like Us months ago and Michael Clayton is so last year. Some of the sites I link don't even exist anymore.

I do have to write about my recent 15k race and let everyone know how that went. Awesome is the quick way to describe that, but I need to give it more justice than that. I promise to do a bunch of things with the blog this weekend.
