Busted...Again

Well it has happened again, those damn logic board problems which have enbale my iBook useless. It seems that just about every year I have to take it in to Apple and get a new logic board.

This, I have determined, will be the last time. I'll get it fixed and start saving for a new MacBook or iMac. I haven't decided which yet.

The crappy part in all of this is that I never upgraded my current desktop, which does not have a DVD drive, to the Tiger OS. So trying to install it now through the external DVD drive is a pain as it keeps stalling on preparing to install. This means that the only igadget that I am not able to sync/update is my iPhone and I was so looking forward to putting new movies on it.

GRRRR.

A Note to People on Cell Phones

Hey the general rule of thumb is, if I can hear you over my music you
are talking too loud. Trust me - what you are talking about really
isn't that important.

Its' a pair!

Twee, duex, zwei, ouo, due, dois, dos, two. No matter what language you use they add up to two - that is two socks which, make a pair.

Props to Brandy for making the sock a mate. After all one is the loneliest... Sorry, couldn't resist.

In The Running

So after a crappy commute home last night, it took me three hours, and no electricity this morning I treated myself to something today.

Well actually a few things. I bought breakfast (I so never do this), I bought lunch (I do this more often but rarely on the same day I buy breakfast) and I officially signed up for my new running club.

Even though I do run now, I haven't been doing much of it during the winter and the club will help me get in shape and also make sure I'm using the proper technique. I so want to say that I am a real runner.

Even better about this club is that its sponsored by the The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in NYC. So this will help me be a bit more social and even better, social with gay people. I have been hanging around those weird straight people a bit much lately and they're not helping in the romance department.

The other benefit to this is that the running club is only going to meet for 12 weeks so I promise I won't become one of those freakish running club members who only talks about their training and all their races that they've done and will be doing. I will be doing one five mile race in June, followed by the 3.5 mile Corporate Challenge in July. Oops, look I'm doing it already! (just kidding!)

We meet in April so I will keep you posted on all the folks I meet.

Train delays

Building collapses suck big time. I just busted my ass to an express
bus to White Plains only to catch another bus to PC.

Commuting sucks.

Hey Mikey, She Likes It

Zaida was the brave one who tried one of the crickets. She said it tasted like stake popcorn that you get in one of the metal tins. We will have to wait to see if there are any side effects like rubbing her legs together to make chriping noises.

Crick-ettes

I got this free promotion item this morning as I was walking out of Grand Central.

Yes, they are real crickets to promote that new show, Bizarre Foods. Somehow by making them sour cream & onion flavored is supposed to make them better. I will not try one but Zaida will and she's coming up later today to try one.
