Harry Potter I have finally started reading the last Harry Potter book. You see, ever since I got the very first Harry Potter book while I was on a business trip in London I decided to get all the following ones from the London as well. This means I have to wait almost an additional week. My copy arrived on Wednesday and I'm going to try and savor it. But the one problem is that everyone else has read it by now. I can't read this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly because it has spoilers all over it. I couldn't watch Dateline because you guessed it, it had spoilers as well. Then I can't even talk to my mother about it because she has loose lips and lets things out very randomly. I am looking forward to next week, when I have my appendix removed (finally) and I can the book peacefully, and without spoilers. // posted by stacey on 8:22:00 PM // | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunday, July 15, 2007 Customer Service I like this guy's idea a lot. It just might time to turn the tables on how we, the customers, get treated. SPRINT - fire ME (please!) // posted by stacey on 9:56:00 PM // | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday, July 13, 2007 The Hookup Today I got mentioned in The Hookup on OurChart. ![]() I don't know why I get excited over this stuff but I do. Although this time not as excited as the time I won the Inside Man baseball cap form that Jodie Foster fan site. I still have a screen shot of that because my name is next to a hot picture of Jodie Foster. The excitement thing is still odd though. It's not like I haven't seen my name in print before, because I used to be a journalist and all, but I guess it's just kinda cool seeing your name or moniker on something and knowing that amazing amounts of people will see it. Time to digress, since I mentioned the word moniker. Remember in Beauty Shop when Kevin Bacon kept saying, "it's my moniker" and Queen thought he was saying my nigger? I know only three people probably saw that movie but that line just cracked me up. // posted by stacey on 2:15:00 PM // | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thursday, July 12, 2007 Overheard in the Office Yesterday Dumb Girl #1: Where is Berlin? Dumb Girl #2 (very snooty): Belgium. // posted by stacey on 8:26:00 AM // | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday, July 03, 2007 Appendicitis Stuff ![]() So this little appendicitis thing that I have been dealing with continues. In case you forgot, at the beginning of June I came down with appendicitis, it ruptured, an abcess formed around the perforation, held the bad stuff and I got it drained. No removal of the appendix, the dead rotting appendage, until a later date. Today, I had a follow-up CT scan to make sure that another abcess hadn't formed or that the appendix was still there. The CT scan part, if you've never had one, is a piece of cake. Its that contrast aka barium sulfate part that sucks. When I was in the hospital it was diluted with Crystal Light, which was cool since I dig Crystal Light. The out of hospital form is three cups of white milky stuff that looks like milk, smells like tang and tastes like citrus infused coconut milk. I know some chemical engineers and I have a big favor to ask you guys. Can you please make this stuff tatse like vanilla or something more pleasing? // posted by stacey on 8:45:00 PM // | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monday, July 02, 2007 IMPEACH NOW!
